Art deco is a style of visual arts, architecture, and product design. It first appeared in France in the 1910s. It flourished in the United States and Europe during the 1920s and 1930s. Art deco is one of those design styles that defies the passage of time. The intention was to give objects a futuristic look. Art Deco artists used vertical lines and geometric shapes such as arcs, circles, triangles, squares, rectangles, ect., in repetative patterns. The Chrysler Building in Manhattan is a classic example of Art Deco architecture, and features a number of these design elements. The art deco style used in todays modern railing can add elegance and sophistication to any space. Feel free to contact me so we can start working on your art deco style railing design.
